This page explains what data the Yozma app and website work with. Yozma is currently in testing.
What stays on your computer
- Your voice is never written to disk. It stays in memory and is wiped once the text is ready. If something fails, it stays in memory for up to 5 minutes so it can be retried.
- Dictation history. Only on your computer, encrypted with AES-256. The key is kept in the Windows credential store. You choose how long it is kept, or not to keep it at all.
- Dictionary, shortcuts, settings. On your computer. The text of shortcuts is encrypted too.
What goes to our server and to other services
- Your voice while dictating. It is sent through our server to the Clarion service. Our server neither reads nor keeps it. Clarion deletes it after turning it into text (a backup copy may remain for up to 24 hours), does not train on it without consent, and runs in Germany.
- The fallback route. If Clarion does not answer, or Russian is selected, your voice goes to Google Gemini. On this route the words you added to your dictionary go too, because they help it hear correctly.
- Editing text. Only if you turn on medium cleanup or formal Uzbek, or press a transform, is the text sent through our server to Google Gemini. Our server does not keep it. A transform reads only the selected text.
- Trial mode. If the app shows a “trial mode” badge, Google may use what is sent to improve its products, and people may see it. Do not dictate anything personal in this mode.
- Account. To sign you in we receive your name and, with Google, your email from Google or Telegram.
- Usage numbers. For the weekly limit: the word count and length of each dictation. Not the text.
- Crash reports. If the app crashes, its version and the place in the code are sent. Text, voice and dictionary are not.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
- The app does not read your screen. The keyboard hook only reacts to the dictation key and Yozma’s own keys, and does not record what you type.
- No voice is being collected now. If voice is ever requested to improve models, that will need your separate, explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Your rights
- You can clear your history in the app at any time.
- You can delete your account in the app. Your name, email and sign-in records are deleted. The consent log stays as evidence, in a form that does not point to you.
- For questions or requests, write to the address below.
Data leaving the country
Our services are outside Uzbekistan: Cloudflare (worldwide), Clarion (Germany), Google (worldwide). By using the app you agree to this.
Age
Anyone under 16 may use Yozma only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Changes
